KrispCall pricing explained: Starter, Advance, Max and what a team really pays

By the CallRoute team · · Updated

KrispCall changed its pricing in 2026. It moved from a low seat price with calls and texts paid as you go to bundled minutes and texts on every plan, and added a Max plan sold as unlimited. Many guides still show the old plans. This one walks through what KrispCall published on November 3, 2026, in US dollars, then prices a team of 5 and a team of 20, with the same teams on other providers. Prices change, so check krispcall.com before you decide.

Paying yearly saves 20 percent: $36 per user a year on Starter, $96 on Advance and $144 on Max. You pay for the year up front. Allowances are pooled across the users on a plan, so a quiet teammate's minutes cover a busy one.

What the allowances cover

  • Outbound minutes cover calls to local numbers in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia.
  • Inbound minutes cover routes that cost KrispCall up to $0.025 a minute.
  • Texts are counted in segments, sent to and received on US and Canadian numbers.
  • Max fair use is 2,000 minutes each way and 1,000 texts per user a month. KrispCall excludes trunking, forwarded calls and texts, toll-free numbers, international and premium rate calls, and bulk or automated sends, and unused minutes do not roll over.

The extras

  • Texting registration for US local numbers: a $4.50 brand fee and a $15 campaign vetting fee, one time, then $1.50 a month for a low volume campaign or $2 a month for a sole proprietor campaign. These are close to what the carriers charge.
  • AI transcripts and summaries are an add-on bought in the app. KrispCall does not list the price on its pricing page.
  • The AI Voice Agent is sold at custom pricing through sales, with calls and texts billed on top, and is listed as coming soon in the product menu.
  • International calls and numbers in other countries are billed at usage rates, and most countries need identity and address documents. KrispCall also sells non VoIP US numbers as an add-on.
  • Porting is free for US local and toll-free numbers. Other countries may carry a porting and number cost.

Worked example: 5 and 20 users

Software only, per month, before taxes, usage and the AI add-on.

TeamStarter, monthly / yearlyAdvance, monthly / yearlyMax, monthly / yearly
5 users$75 / $60$200 / $160$300 / $240
20 usersNot available, 5 user cap$800 / $640$1,200 / $960

If you only need calls, texts and a menu for up to 5 people, Starter is a low price. Most teams that want recording end up on Advance, and the AI summary add-on sits on top of that.

The same teams on other providers

Here is a 5 person team that wants call recording with AI summaries, as published on November 3, 2026. The last column adds 100 AI answered calls of about two minutes each. Where a provider prices this through sales, we say so instead of guessing.

Provider and plan5 users, monthly / yearlyAI answering for 100 calls of 2 minutes
KrispCall Advance, plus the AI summary add-on$200 / $160, plus the add-onAI Voice Agent coming soon, custom pricing
Quo (formerly OpenPhone) Business$165 / $115Free credits plus the $49 pack for about 100 calls
Dialpad Connect Standard$135 / $75Up to $199 on Resolve
RingCentral RingEX Core$150 / $100AI Receptionist add-on, $39 a month with 100 minutes, then $0.50 a minute, $89
Aircall Essentials$190 / $15050 minutes included, then $0.29 a minute, about $43.50
CallRoute Business$160, monthly only200 minutes at $0.25, $50
CallRoute Business Plus$245, monthly only150 minutes included, then $12.50

Read it honestly:

  • KrispCall is cheaper to start. Starter at $15 or $12 is half the price of CallRoute Business, for teams that do not need recording.
  • KrispCall includes more minutes. Advance includes 1,000 minutes each way per user. CallRoute includes 200 minutes per user on Business and 400 on Business Plus, calls in and out together, then $0.04 a minute. A team where each person spends more than a few hundred minutes a month on the phone pays less at KrispCall.
  • Recording with AI is where it evens out. CallRoute Business at $32 monthly includes recording with AI transcripts and summaries. KrispCall Advance is $40 monthly or $32 yearly before its AI add-on.
  • AI answering is available today on CallRoute at $0.25 a minute, about $0.50 for a two minute call, with 30 minutes per user included on Business Plus. It takes messages, it does not book appointments or transfer calls.
  • Texting registration costs more on CallRoute: $79 one time, then $20 per month. Count it in your total.
