Quo pricing explained: what a team really pays per month
By the CallRoute team · · Updated
Quo, the business phone app formerly called OpenPhone, publishes its prices, which makes it easier to compare than most. The headline price is only part of the bill, though. This guide walks through the plans, the extras, and a worked example for a team of five, with the same team priced on other providers. Every price here is what Quo published on November 3, 2026. Prices change, so check quo.com before you decide.
The three plans and Enterprise
| Starter | Business | Scale | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Billed monthly, per user | $19 | $33 | $47 |
| Billed yearly, per user per month | $15 | $23 | $35 |
| Numbers | 1 per user | 1 per user | 1 per user |
| US/CA calls and texts | Unlimited, under fair use | Unlimited, under fair use | Unlimited, under fair use |
| Call recording | Manual | Automatic | Automatic |
| AI call transcripts and summaries | No, voicemail transcripts only | Yes | Yes |
| Phone menus, group calling, analytics | No | Yes | Yes |
| HubSpot and Salesforce | No | Yes | Yes |
| Support | Live chat | Priority, phone on weekdays |
Enterprise is priced on a quote. Every plan has a 7 day trial. The yearly prices are a real saving, about 30 percent on Business, but you pay for the year up front.
What each plan leaves out
- Starter has no phone menu, no group calling, no AI call summaries and only manual recording. It suits a solo owner or a small team where each person answers their own number.
- Business is where most teams land: menus, automatic recording, AI summaries, analytics and the main CRM integrations.
- Scale adds AI call tags, priority support with phone support on weekdays, and onboarding help.
The extras
Unlimited, under a fair use policy
Quo sells US and Canadian calling and texting as unlimited on every plan. Its fair use policy rules out cold calling, auto dialers and abnormally high volume, and does not publish a number. For most teams that answer and return customer calls this never comes up. Teams with heavy outbound days should read the policy first.
Sona AI credits
Sona, Quo's AI agent, uses 100 credits per call, and calls under 15 seconds are free. Every plan includes 1,000 free credits, about 10 calls. After that you buy packs:
| Pack | About how many calls | Price per call |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 10 | Included |
| $25 | 40 | About $0.63 |
| $49 | 100 | About $0.49 |
| $99 | 250 | About $0.40 |
| $199 | 600 | About $0.33 |
Overage is off by default, so when credits run out Sona stops and calls follow your normal call path. With overage on, extra calls cost $1.00 each on the free tier, down to $0.45 on the largest pack.
Everything else
- Extra numbers: $5 per month each.
- International calls and texts: from prepaid credits, priced by destination.
- Automated texts sent through the API, Zapier or Make: $0.01 per segment.
- Carrier registration for texting from US local numbers: a one time fee plus a small monthly fee passed through from the carriers. Check the current amount in Quo's help center.
- Sales tax, depending on where your business is.
Worked example: a team of five with 60 AI answered calls
Say five people share the phones on Quo Business, and Sona answers about 60 calls a month after hours. The free credits cover about 10 calls, so you need a pack for the rest. The $49 pack covers about 100 calls.
| Billed monthly | Billed yearly | |
|---|---|---|
| 5 users on Business | $165 | $115 per month |
| Sona pack for about 100 calls | $49 | $49 |
| Total per month | $214 | $164 |
Add $5 for each extra number, the carrier registration fee and any international usage.
The same team on other providers
Here is the same team of five, with about 60 AI answered calls of around two minutes each, priced as published on November 3, 2026. Where a provider does not publish a price we can rely on, we say so rather than guess.

Read it honestly:
- Quo yearly is the lowest total for this team, if you are happy to pay a year up front and the fair use policy fits how you call.
- Recording and AI summaries come on the $32 and $33 plans of both. Quo Business and CallRoute Business each include call recording and AI call summaries. CallRoute Business Plus at $49 adds 30 AI receptionist minutes per user, full analytics, WhatsApp, the API and twice the minutes.
- CallRoute publishes its allowances: 200 minutes and 250 texts per user on Business, 400 and 450 on Business Plus, then $0.04 per minute and $0.025 per text from your wallet. There is no yearly price.
- Texting registration costs more on CallRoute: $79 one time, then $20 per month.
- Dialpad is cheapest on seats but not on AI answering. Dialpad Standard costs less per user, monthly or yearly, but its Resolve AI agents are $1.99 per voice conversation from a credit pool arranged through sales. See Dialpad pricing explained.
- AI answering is billed differently. Sona is per call in packs. The CallRoute AI receptionist is per minute with no pack to buy, and callers go to voicemail if the wallet runs out.
