Switch from KrispCall
Switch from KrispCall to CallRoute
Bring your KrispCall numbers and your team. Here is the full move, step by step, plus an honest map of which KrispCall features have a home in CallRoute and which do not yet.
How the move works
- 1
Create your workspace
Sign up, start your plan and take a new number for each teammate. You can call and text from it right away while your old numbers move over.
- 2
Get your port details
Ask your current provider for the account number and transfer PIN on the account, and download a recent bill. Carriers check these to approve the move.
KrispCall admins can get port out details from KrispCall support. Ask for the account number and transfer PIN for each number, and download a recent invoice. If you pay yearly, check the renewal date first, since yearly plans are paid up front and moving a number out does not by itself cancel the subscription.
- 3
Start the port in CallRoute
Open Numbers, choose Bring a number, enter the details and attach the bill. It costs $5 per number, one time, and is refunded if the number does not arrive.
- 4
Set up menus and hours
Recreate your phone menu, business hours and voicemail greetings. Most teams finish this in under an hour.
- 5
Cancel the old account last
Keep your old account open until CallRoute shows the number as active. Cancelling first can release the number and lose it for good.

Switching from KrispCall
Can I keep my KrispCall number?
Yes. US and Canadian local numbers can be moved to CallRoute today, and toll-free numbers are coming soon. Your number keeps working on KrispCall until the move completes, so calls are not dropped.
How long does a number port take?
Most ports finish in one to two weeks. Carriers accept a date at least 7 days out, and you can see the status of every number in CallRoute while you wait.
What does it cost to switch?
Moving a number in costs $5 per number, one time, paid from your CallRoute wallet. If the number does not arrive, the $5 is refunded.
Should I cancel KrispCall before I port?
No. Keep KrispCall active until each number shows as active in CallRoute, then cancel. If you are on a yearly plan, check the renewal date and start the port early enough to finish before it renews.
Can I move my KrispCall numbers in other countries?
CallRoute takes US and Canadian local numbers today, with toll-free numbers coming soon. Numbers in other countries stay with KrispCall or move to another provider that covers that country. For the UK and Australia, you can take a new CallRoute number.
