Create your CallRoute workspace
Sign up, confirm your email, pick a plan and get your first number, then make a test call from your browser.
A workspace is your company inside CallRoute. It holds your team, your business numbers, your inbox, your contacts and your billing. The person who creates it becomes the Owner. This guide takes you from sign up to your first call.
1. Sign up
- Go to the CallRoute app and choose Create a workspace.
- Fill in Your name, Company name, Work email and a Password of at least 10 characters. The company name becomes your workspace name, and it is what invited teammates see.
- Select Create workspace. You land in your Inbox.
2. Confirm your email
Until you confirm your email, a Confirm your email banner sits at the top of the app. You can look around, but getting a number, starting a plan and adding funds all wait on this step.
- Open the email we sent you and follow the link.
- If it did not arrive, select Send a new link in the banner and check your spam folder.
3. Choose a plan
- Select Billing in the sidebar.
- Pick Monthly or Yearly, 2 months free.
- Set Seats to the number of people who will use CallRoute. Each seat includes one phone number. You can add seats later.
- Select Choose Starter, Choose Pro or Choose Scale, then pay in the checkout form that opens on the page.
Not sure which plan fits? See Plans, seats and your subscription for what each plan unlocks.
4. Add your first number
- Select Numbers in the sidebar.
- In Add a number, pick Local or Toll free, type an area code if you want one, and select Search.
- Select Add next to the number you like. It is yours right away.
Already have a business number? You can move it in instead. See Bring your existing number to CallRoute.
5. Make a test call
- Select the Phone button in the bottom right corner of the app.
- When your browser asks, allow the microphone.
- Type your own mobile number and select Call. Your mobile shows your new business number as the caller.
What to do next
- Invite your teammates so each person gets their own number and extension.
- Set up a phone menu or business hours for how your number answers.
- Add funds to your wallet for international calls, extra numbers and usage beyond your plan.
