Getting started

Two step sign in and where you are signed in

Turn on two step sign in with an authenticator app, save your backup codes, and see or sign out every device on your account from the Security page.

With two step sign in, signing in asks for your password and a code from an authenticator app on your phone, so a stolen password is not enough. Everything here lives on the Security page in the sidebar.

Turn on two step sign in

  1. Install an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password.
  2. Select Security, then Turn on in the Two step sign in card, then Set up two step sign in.
  3. Scan the code with your authenticator app. If you cannot scan it, type the key shown under Cannot scan? Enter this key in the app instead.
  4. Enter the 6 digit code the app shows.
  5. Save your 10 backup codes with Copy or Download, then select I saved them.

From now on, after your password, CallRoute asks for the 6 digit code from your app. No phone with you? Enter one of your backup codes instead. Each backup code works once.

Require it for everyone

The owner can turn on Everyone must use two step sign in on the Security page. Teammates who have not set it up are asked to Turn on two step sign in the next time they sign in, before they can use the app.

See where you are signed in

The Where you are signed in card lists every browser and phone on your account. The one you are using is marked This device.

  • Select Sign out next to a device to end that session.
  • Select Sign out all other devices to keep only this one.
  • You can be signed in on up to 3 devices, including the phone app. Signing in on a fourth signs out the browser you used least recently.
  • We email you when a new browser signs in to your account.

Change your password

Change it in the Password card on the same page. Changing it signs out every other device. If you think someone else has your password, change it, then check Where you are signed in.

To turn two step sign in off, select Turn off in its card. For what your teammates can see and change, see Roles and permissions.
